October is almost here

Get ready for Autumn!

Autumn Movement  by Carl Sandburg

I cried over beautiful things knowing no beautiful thing lasts.
The field of cornflower yellow is a scarf at the neck of the copper sunburned woman, the mother of the year, the taker of seeds.
The northwest wind comes and the yellow is torn full of holes,
new beautiful things come in the first spit of snow on the northwest wind,
and the old things go, not one thing lasts.

Disney Princesses in Pants—Finally!

Online Article by Joanna Douglas, Yahoo Shine Senior Fashion and Beauty Editor:

Disney princesses have an obsessive following, and recently artists have had their own moments in the spotlight by re-imagining the princesses in creative ways. The latest version comes from Japanese digital artist Haruki Godo, whose new series of drawings called "Costume Swap" depicts Aurora, Ariel, Tiana, Rapunzel, and other animated Disney princesses wearing the clothing of their male counterparts!

The result is an awesome project that shatters traditional gender roles. "I'm very fond of love between a man and a woman—couples," Godo tells Yahoo Shine exclusively. "And I also love girls, so I thought if they wear their boyfriends' clothes, I would be very happy. They are my wishes." Godo posted the images, along with his other drawings, on the deviantART online forum. "To put it simply, in this series, they're enjoying cosplay," he writes on his page.

Check out Godo's pieces to see Princess Jasmine trade in her crop top for a regal pantsuit and Ariel ditch her mermaid tail for sea-captain garb. Their new wardrobes may be atypical for Disney heroines, but if Kate Middleton is any indication, princesses don't always wear dresses.

A Strange Brand of Happy poster

A Strange Brand of Happy

After losing his job David is pushed by his roommate to hire a life coach named Joyce. A decision aided in part by how pretty David finds this life coach, but also a desire to get unstuck in life. When Joyce invites him to join the volunteer group she takes to a retirement home David discovers his manipulative ex-boss, William, is part of the group and interested in Joyce as well.

The motley crew of retirees instantly recognize the potential for drama with this love triangle. A wily old man goads the boys to battle for Joyce. As a result, David begrudgingly agrees to go to an open mic night Joyce holds for people to ponder the existence of God. It’s there that a poet says a few things that cause David’s head to tilt and move him a little further down the path of finding himself. The problem is the ungentlemanly competition he’s still in with William. When that turns extreme, David makes a decision that nearly ruins his dual-level progress with Joyce. He’s then forced to turn to the only community he has left, the ragtag band of retirees who point him in the direction of true north.

No...You are Not Imagining It!

Imagine this: You pop in a rental DVD and halfway through your Friday night rom com, you suddenly get the craving for a hot, fresh pizza. In fact, you can smell pizza. No, it's not your imagination -- Domino's has teamed up with DVD rental stores in Brazil to make discs that release the scent of a fresh pie as the movie goes on. How? The discs are printed with ink that emit smells of cheese, sauce, and dough when it reaches a certain temperature inside the player. The thermal ink even changes color: By the time you eject the flick, an image of a pie is front and center on the DVD.
Do we smell a worldwide trend? While Domino's is the first company to hop on this scent-sation, we don't think it'll take long for other companies to follow suit
