Come over to the OPPL and join us!  Sign up for a couple sessions of Computer Help and knock out those service hours! 

 

Description of Duties :

 

Help with computers and earn

community service hours. Duties include releasing print jobs and assisting children and teens with basic Internet and MicroSoft Office questions . Volunteers must be able to commit to one shift a week for 4 weeks.

'The Originals' Picked Up By The CW!!

 

It’s official: The Mikaelsons’ adventures in New Orleans will continue on ‘The Originals!’

I hope you liked what you saw on the April 25 episode of The Vampire Diaries, because The CW has officially picked up The Originals as an independent series! The network made the announcement April 26, despite unimpressive ratings for the backdoor pilot.

Along with the announcement, CW President Mark Pedowtiz had this to say:

As soon as we saw last night’s episode of The Vampire Diaries, we knew we wanted more of The Originals – Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson have done a fantastic job with The Vampire Diaries, which is as fast-paced and well-written as ever, and Julie has created an equally compelling world for The Originals.

Which Other CW Series Were Renewed?

The CW also renewed Hart of Dixie for a third season and Beauty & The Beast for a second. Sadly, there’s no word yet on the futures of Nikita or The Carrie Diaries — yet.

The Vampire Diaries, Arrow and Supernatural have already been renewed for additional seasons.

Can't get enough of Star Wars?

 New ‘Star Wars’ Movies Starting in 2015

If you're the kind of fan who just can't get enough "Star Wars," Disney has just made the announcement you've been dreaming of.

, Disney representatives unveiled some big plans for the "Star Wars" franchise after purchasing Lucasfilm for $4 billion. While it's well known that "Star Wars: Episode VII" is in the works and poised for release in the summer of 2015, Disney is saying after that, fans can expect a new "Star Wars" movie EVERY SUMMER for at least 5 YEARS, with installments in the official series alternating with stand-alone films that will focus on well-loved characters in the "Star Wars" universe.

That means 6 "Star Wars" movies between 2015  and 2020. That's a lot of light sabers.

Disney's announcement opens the door for lots more speculation among fans and bloggers while confirming something nearly everyone seems to want: a lot more "Star Wars" movies.

Jurassic Park 3D  (Rated PG-13)

Right behind it was the 3D re-release of Jurassic Park, already one of the biggest blockbusters in history. The original opened to $47 million in 1993, but the 3D re-release of course won't get quite that close-- it made $7 million on Friday and is estimated for a $18 million weekend.

looking for a new twist on an old "favorite" sandwich?

PB&J Extreme!

Recipe excerpted from Yum-O! The Family Cookbook by Rachael Ray


Ingredients:

2 tablespoons chunky peanut butter
2 slices whole-wheat bread, toasted
1⁄2 banana, thinly sliced
Drizzle of honey
Sprinkle of ground cinnamon
2 slices crispy cooked turkey bacon, crumbled

Directions:

Spread the peanut butter on 1 slice of the toast. Arrange the banana slices on top of the peanut butter, drizzle with honey, then sprinkle with cinnamon. Top with bacon crumbles and the second slice of toast.
